What happens when the talented Senbete Shaffer attends Summer Theater Workshop? We get awesome show posters for opening night! Senbete designed and created these posters for all of our actors this session. The 3rd and 4th graders performed “Superbuddies Return” and the high schoolers put on “The Switch.” Thank you so much to Senbete for your creativity and generosity!

Lift the curtains, light the lights, come join us at the Old Theater for Sharing Night tomorrow night! The kids have done a great job preparing to perform for you tomorrow night. The show is tomorrow, 7/9/26, at 7pm in Oriental’s Old Theater. Admission is free, but donations of any amount are very welcome!

Silly hats and silly faces. Session 1 of the Summer Theater Workshop has been having a blast! There are still a few days left to register for session 2 (for kids that have finished 3rd and 4th grades and 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades). Registration is now closed for our first session (for children who completed 1st and 2nd and 5th, 6th, and 7th grades). However, we are still accepting registrations for our second session, for children who completed 3rd and 4th and 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Second session runs from July 13-July 24, and registration will remain open until July 10 (visit our website, www.childrenstheateronc.com, to register). If you missed applying this year- don’t worry! The Summer Theater Workshop will be back next year. Continue to follow us on Facebook for all CTW updates!

Summer Theater Workshop is officially underway! We’ve moved into The Old Theater (a big thank you to them for giving us the space every year). Our awesome Drama Coach Naomii and exceptional Teen Leaders Abi, Audri, David, Harmony, Krista, and Senbete warmed up the space with introductions, training, and, of course, some theater games. These amazing young people will be assisting Naomii with the younger groups as well as participating in their own program during the second session.
