I help overwhelmed, stressed out moms find peace as confidence in themselves and build love, trust and connection in their relationships.

12/08/2020

I would be very surprised if anyone's life is anything like it was a year ago or in the realm of what they expected it to be in January. Besides the pandemic, our family has moved, twice. We left our eldest child when we did. And, frankly, we haven't even finished moving as we are still looking for a permanent home in our new area. It sounds more overwhelming than it has felt most of the time, and, there are times when I think about all the changes and all my hopes and dreams and everything I want to happen right now, and then, my anxiety flares.

Have you ever done that as well? It took me having a conversation with my friend to realize that I WAS doing it TO myself.

We don't have to have the diagnosis of anxiety to feel anxiety. When we don't deal with the anxiety that we feel, it builds. The longer we don't deal with it the more it builds up and then we explode in our own way.

Does that feel or sound familiar? Maybe your choice of emotion isn't anxiety. If you see this pattern in your life, send me a message, let's have a conversation!

Love and Blessings,
Heather

I’m grateful for the Savior, his love and the healing, life changing impact it has when we turn to him.

1. Our Savior’s love
Shines like the sun with perfect light,
As from above
It breaks thru clouds of strife.
Lighting our way,
It leads us back into his sight,
Where we may stay
To share eternal life.

2. The Spirit, voice
Of goodness, whispers to our hearts
A better choice
Than evil’s anguished cries.
Loud may the sound
Of hope ring till all doubt departs,
And we are bound
To him by loving ties.

3. Our Father, God
Of all creation, hear us pray
In rev’rence, awed
By thy Son’s sacrifice.
Praises we sing.
We love thy law; we will obey.
Our heav’nly King,
In thee our hearts rejoice.

Peace In Christ | Light the World 11/09/2020

There is obviously a lot of emotions going around in the world right now. There is one source of peace that never fails us.

As I was reading and searching in the scriptures last night I came across a saying I don’t remember ever seeing before. “Hold your peace”.

Hold is defined as “to grasp, carry or support with one’s hands”.

Grasp your peace. Carry your peace. Support with with your hands your peace.

When I was pregnant with one of my boys my hands did something weird one night and gave out while I taking dinner out of the oven. It was a huge mess. It went everywhere, and it wasn’t even a messier dish.

I feel like we at a point where we don’t know how to hold our hot dish as our hands freak out. Mental health is at an all time lowest. The hardest place to hold our peace.

As is customary for me to do, I turn to our Savior, Jesus Christ and and plead like those in the scriptures, “Hold not thy peace at my tears.”

Grasping in our desperation for the peace that only comes from Heaven, we can find peace in Christ, the only begotten of the Father and can continue forward.

Love you all💜

When was the last time you talked to God? Sometimes we in our mortality forget. The scriptures repeatedly remind us to remember Him.

How do you remember who you are?
Your goals?
You God?

The New Year and decade are coming...

What are you leaving behind?

What are you creating?

I’m leaving behind so much! The weight of other people’s opinions, judgements and expectations.

I’m creating a better life, better habits and stepping more fully into myself.

Heather

Sometimes I have to work hard to channel my inner warrior. Usually she shows up ready to go all in her own.

Which camp are you in?

Our worldwide church conference was this weekend.

Our dear sweet Prophet and one of his counselors called woman Guardians.

Now, religious or not, being called a guardian brings a myriad of emotions.

When you imagine being called a Guardian, what comes to mind as your first priority?

My first thought was who do I guard?

If I want to successfully guard anyone else, I have to make sure that I am leading the way in being strong.

If I am exhausted, hungry, or otherwise drained, I have NOTHING to give to help guard those I love. Not only that, I am now helpless to defend my own self from what's going on around me.

This is where those I am supposed to be guarding now need and guard against me. My words are short, I'm mean and not patient.

So, now the question I ask is, HOW do I keep myself in GUARDIAN mode?

What is NOT NEGOTIABLE in taking care of myself so I can rise up and by the Guardian for those around me that need me?

What is your non-negotiable in taking care of yourself?

Heather

What were you born to do?

What ride were you born to take?

Are you hiding from it?

Are you riding it?

What have you decided your life is going to look like?

What are you facing now to get you to that point?

You’ve got this. Go for it!

Hugs and love,
Heather

There are times in our lives when things feel hopeless.

Remember it’s never hopeless.

You are loved! You are needed!

You can handle whatever you’ve got going on.

Sometimes handling it means handing it off to someone else. That’s totally acceptable!

Hugs and Love,

Heather

I have been creating with fabric more lately. (see photo)

It doesn’t always turn out right the first time.

It took me 3 practice runs of a recent project to have it turn out how I wanted and I still had to add more fabric to make it fit right.

It’s a department I am completely comfortable in jumping into, doing wrong, asking for help, trying again, or starting over in.

There are things that I haven’t built up my confidence and knowledge in enough to be both teacher and student.

It takes confidence to be a student.

It takes confidence to ask for help.

Sometimes we get lost in our maze unable to find our way to be able to ask questions.

When we spend our energy on accomplishing something we gain confidence. Confidence to try something harder and ask a trusted person for help as we learn.

What are you already confident in?

What are you working on becoming confident in?

Hugs and Love,

Heather

I spent most of my day taking care of my eldest today.

She rarely gets sick so when she does it’s a doozy.

As we spent hours just being together, I thought about how I used to handle my kids being sick.

Stay in room I’ll be in every hour or so and don’t share.

Staying with her today means there were things on my to do list I didn’t get done.

They will be there tomorrow.

And because I made her the priority today, she is feeling better and will be able to do the things that she needs to tomorrow as well.

We will both be fine with having this down day.

And she knows she’s worth a day of doing what she needed from me.

No regrets.

Hugs and Love,
Heather
