Drama for Wellness grew from a simple belief: theatre can create moments of joy, agency, and human connection-- even in places where life can feel anything but ordinary. Our university students are learning how to bring that kind of theatre into medical spaces, adapting their approach to each child, each family, and each moment.

🎭 TNTC Alumni Spotlight: Meet Owen!
A few years ago, Owen Grover joined us for Backstage Basics (now Tech Team) camp, where he fostered a growing interest in the technical side of theatre—and in exploring theatre beyond the spaces he already knew.
Now, he’s a sophomore in college and a first-year UVU student, working toward applying to the Theater Design & Technology BFA program with a focus on scenic design.
His love for scenic design began in 8th grade when he watched someone painting a set for "Seussical: the Musical" and wondered if it could be a career. Since then, he’s competed in scenic design, earning 1st at regionals and 4th at state for his work on "The Death of the Author." 🏆

Utah kept it chic at AATE's 2026 National Conference: Echoes of Us in Greenville, SC!

✨Kaylee Hill, a UVU Theatre Education student, presented on a panel about the importance of accessible theatre in rural areas.

✨Meredith Campbell, our TYE Center Admin Support, was the Runner-up in the Adult Category of the Playwrights for Change contest with her play, "Once Upon AI Time."

✨The TYE Center's regional-winning student written scripts, "Fight the Dragon" and "Friendships Found in Mazes," were runners-up in the High School and Middle School divisions of the Playwrights for Change contest!

We couldn't resist paying tribute to the UVU Theatre Department's production of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 from spring semester. So we created our own Tye Noorda Theatre Camp version of the iconic "Prologue" to our production of The Lightning Thief. Who knew Greek mythology and Russian opera vibes could mix so well? 🎭⚡
