Honoring a Utah Hero

Today, we remember 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, a Utah Army National Guard Soldier, Southern Utah University Army ROTC graduate, and MBA student who was killed while serving his country in Jordan.

While living and studying in Utah, Tyler proudly served with the 2nd Battalion, 222nd Field Artillery in Cedar City. Just weeks away from completing his MBA, he will be awarded his degree posthumously a testament to his dedication to both education and service.

His legacy of courage, leadership, and selfless service will continue to inspire the Utah community and all who knew him. We honor his sacrifice and extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, fellow service members, and the entire SUU community.

Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

On This Day in Veteran History – July 21
Today, we recognize an important milestone in supporting those who have served our nation. On July 21, 1930, the Veterans Administration was established to consolidate federal programs serving Veterans. This organization later became the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in 1989, continuing its mission to provide health care, education benefits, disability compensation, home loans, memorial services, and countless other resources to Veterans and their families.

Today, we honor the enduring commitment to those who have worn the uniform and recognize the dedicated professionals who continue to serve the Veteran community every day.

Thank you to all who have served and to those who continue to support our nation's Veterans. β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™
