80 years ago today, Operation Market Garden launched the largest airborne operation in history, putting airpower, communications, logistics, and coordination to the ultimate test.

Just three years later, on September 18, 1947, the U.S. Air Force was officially born. ✈️

Tomorrow, we celebrate 79 years of the Air Force at MASH! 🎉

GUT CHECK 2026 — United We March

Join us in Gunnison, Utah, on September 11–12 as we come together to remember September 11th, honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and recognize the service and sacrifice of our military, first responders, and their families.

📅 Packet Pickup: September 11 | 12:00–10:00 PM
📅 Gut Check: September 12 | Begins at 6:46 AM
📍 Gunnison City Park
250 N Main, Gunnison, UT 84634

Choose from Full, Half, Team, Individual, Light, Heavy (35 lb.), or the

Mini Gut Check 6K. The courses feature dirt roads and mountain terrain with approximately 1,300 feet of elevation change. Water, first aid, and fruit stations will be available along the routes.

🥫 Heavy Class: Participants may use canned food in their ruck and donate it at the finish to the Utah Food Bank.

Come march together, remember together, and honor those who paid the ultimate price. 🇺🇸

Remembering the Fallen of Abbey Gate

We honor the 13 American service members who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Abbey Gate attack in Kabul, Afghanistan, on August 26, 2021.

Among them was Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Darin Taylor Hoover, 31, a proud resident of Salt Lake City, Utah. His life was dedicated to service, leadership, and protecting others. We honor his sacrifice and remember the Utah community that continues to carry his memory.

Five years later, we pause to remember all 13 heroes who never made it home and the families, friends, and fellow service members who continue to carry their legacy.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
