Little Explorers Academy Preschool Welcome to Little Explorers Academy where children grow and learn through their first language: PLAY!

Hello, my name is Andrea Charlton and I am the owner and teacher at Little Explorers Academy. We are located just at the mouth of Provo Canyon in NE Orem. I am a Utah certified teacher with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Utah State University. I am also an Endorsed Math Specialist for elementary aged children. I taught Kindergarten, First grade, was a math specialist in Cache County School District and am starting my second year as the owner and teacher at Little Explorers. My background and training focuses on teaching children to love learning through play. At Little Explorers Academy we become super star kindergarteners through choice based centers where children are allowed to follow their interests to learn in ways that they are drawn to. Each day will include an hour of free choice center time, a snack time where children learn to serve and clean up after themselves, gaining confidence and independence, as well as a whole group/classroom setting time where in small and appropriate increments they will begin to prepare for a kindergarten classroom.
