The school district summer meal program ended Friday June 28th, but the Boys and Girls Club is sponsoring one every weekday from 11 a.m. to noon, July 1st-August 9th. Woohoo! They will have a food truck in front of Parkside Elementary for kids 18 and younger. Many thanks to the Boys and Girls Club of Utah County!

Heard a visitor to Parkside the other day say, "This school has a good feeling about it. You can tell the kids here really know that they are cared for." This feeling, that care and nurturing is because of YOU. To all the teachers, staff, volunteers, parents, and caring adults out there, thanks for another great year!

Did you know that our kids spend about 60,000 minutes every year with the amazing teachers and staff at Parkside Elementary? 60,000 minutes (and probably a million moments) every year that their teachers make count. I invite you this week to find a way to say thank you to a teacher for the millions of moments and minutes that they give. I'm grateful for EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Parents! We want you! We are looking for more parents to serve on the School Community Council next year. This only requires about 4-6 hours of your time for the entire school year, but it makes a BIG IMPACT. Come counsel with other parents and school staff about how to make Parkside even better. Parkside School Carnival coming this Monday, September 25th 4:30-7:00 p.m. This happens to be the same time as the Orem Community Hospital's Harvest Festival so skip the traffic and walk if you can!

A big thank you to the Orem Police Department for providing crossing guards to our school! School safety, including safe walking routes, is a school community council concern and we could not keep our kids safe without Orem PD. We love you!
