House Bill 698 doubles down on a troubling pattern of legislation designed to politicize higher education, single out employees, and erode the academic freedom that makes our institutions worth attending. Why? Because we have got to take action and make our voices heard!

Did you know.. At 1am during the Ohio budgetary process, an addendum was slipped in that reduces our elected teacher representatives on the Ohio STRS Board from 7 to 3.

Those four reduced seats will become governor appointments.

Governor appointees have no idea what happens in a classroom and that teachers cannot keep doing this until they reach medicare age!

This past weekend, OCFT Members attended the Ohio Federation of Teachers Local Leaders Conference in Columbus!
