What is your go to CCW gun?

Times are changing and handguns are getting smaller with more rounds than the past. We are seeing micro LED weapon lights and even red dots on slides from the factory. All of these changes makes me wonder what you all consider your go-to weapon.

I’m old school (or cheap lol) so I’m still primarily carrying a Shield 9mm which has night sights and the Apex Tactical duty/carry kit and trigger or occasionally a G***k 19.

Hey all you Missouri Shooters! Hope all is well with all of you!

I have some exciting news! I have been attending a LOT of new fi****ms instructor training on multiple different disciplines. I am in the development stage of establishing three classes.

Beginner class - a class for those who have never really fired a handgun and would like to learn in a relaxed atmosphere with others who are near the same skill level.

Intermediate - a class for those who have been shooting handgun but have not had hands on training with an instructor to help correct things like accuracy on follow up shots etc.

Expert - a class for those who have developed the skills and safety to receive training for shooting on the move, shooting from cover, prone and supine shooting etc.

I will update the page as things progress.

Tis the season to give and share with others. I will do two random drawings on Thursday December 31st to give away a free concealed carry class to 2 lucky winners.

All you have to do is like this post and this page, pretty simple.

Winner must attend the concealed carry class in Oregon Missouri, keep that in mind before you enter. I conduct at least 2 classes a month and you may use your voucher for any concealed carry class that I host, no expiration.

Value of give away $75 each, I will draw 2 random winners that will receive 1 free class voucher each.

Rules

Must be at least 19yo

Must be a resident of Mo for at least 6 months

No felons

Must be able to legally obtain a CCW permit.

Must be willing to attend the class in Oregon Mo where I teach my classes.

You may share your voucher with a friend or family member if you have your CCW permit already.

Had a great class today with 8 fun and entertaining students. Some great shooters which made the range time a big hit.

So glad I have the opportunity to teach such great people how to legally protect themselves.

Have any of you bought a holster from Troy Chambers of Chambers Holsters in Savannah Mo? He is my go to guy for kydex holsters and has the fastest turn around I have ever seen. Troy and I have become friends over time and he is the only local holster manufacturer that I not only use but recommend to my students and friends.

I would like to apologize for my lack of classes in the last month, in early September I was injured on my ambulance job. I have a tear in my right shoulder that will require surgery to repair and has left me unable to shoot much right handed and to carry targets and stands for the class. I should be having surgery in the next week hopefully, after I get the surgery and initial rehab out of the way I will try to get some classes scheduled.

I still have openings for my class this Saturday August 8th in Oregon mo.

Class cost is $75

I am extending my Veteran/Military discount to this class since I had to cancel one of my classes in July.

Veterans, Current Military, or spouses of each will receive a $25 discount to make their class cost only $50

Guns and ammo are provided but feel free to bring your own gun to qualify with. If you choose to bring your handgun please bring 40 rounds of ammunition.
