I am excited to have a new addition to our team, Ali Danekas. She grew up in Ogle County, where her passion for agriculture was developed through 4-H, FFA, showing livestock at the county fair, and being active in the Collegiate Farm Bureau. After recently graduating from Highland Community College with an Associates in Agriculture Business and Animal Science, Ali is excited to share her love of agriculture with students in the classroom. She also serves as a middle school and club volleyball coach, where she encourages young kids to learn, build confidence, and grow. Ali is excited to help students make connections between agriculture and their everyday lives through engaging activities.

Back by popular demand, we are hosting another freezer meal fundraiser! This time, you can choose from the Meat Set, the Side Set, or BOTH! Orders are due by August 31 and pick-up is on September 29 from 2:30-4pm in Carroll and 4-5pm in Ogle. If you want to order by mail - just write your name, address, phone number, email and type of sets ordered on a separate sheet of paper that you include with your payment. Checks should be payable to Ogle-Carroll Ag in the Classroom and mailed to 811 S. Clay St, Mount Carroll, IL 61053.

We have had fun in June with our How to Grow a Monster program. If you missed it, come to the Mt. Morris library on June 29 at 1:00pm. In July will be our Oh Say Can You Seed program. You can join us July 2 at 10:30 at York Township Library in Thomson; July 7 at 10:30 at the Forreston Public Library; July 8 at 10 at Lanark Public Library; July 20 at 10:30 at the Bertolet Memorial Library in Leaf River; or July 20 at 1:00 at the Mt. Morris Public Library.
