🎉 Meet Jess Daugherty! 🎉
Please join us in welcoming Jess Daugherty to the Oregon High School English team! Jess has been teaching middle and high school English full-time since 2013 and is thrilled to join OSD, where she will primarily teach 10th- and 12th-grade English.
Jess brings a wonderfully rich and varied teaching background to Oregon. Throughout her career, she has taught classes ranging from just 2 students to as many as 60, working in settings from small rural school districts to one of the largest schools in Wisconsin. She is also an adjunct professor for UW-Oshkosh, a 2023 Herb Kohl Award Teacher Fellow, and the 2024 Wisconsin Rural Educator of the Year. We are incredibly fortunate to have her experience and passion joining our team!
Outside of the classroom, Jess enjoys hiking with her husband and their two corgis, Giggs and Bella, practicing yoga, paddleboarding, relaxing with a good book, and coaching gymnastics. 🐶🐶🧘♀️📚
When asked what she is most excited about, Jess shared that she is thrilled to join a school district where everyone she has met is focused on putting students first. She looks forward to growing alongside her colleagues and helping students develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
