Alliance Charter Academy (ACA) is an accredited K -12, in-person, homeschool hybrid public charter school in the Oregon City School District. CHILD CENTERED, PARENT DIRECTED

Alliance Charter Academy is a charter school in Oregon City that provides a tailor-made, parent-driven, student-centered education for its students. In our model, each child picks and chooses classes from an annually published “Schedule of Classes,” perfectly tailoring their education to their needs. We believe in the unique abilities of our children and strive to foster their innate abilities.

One week ago today, we had a room full of 9th graders attending our SOAR Workshop, presented by Mrs. Filippello!

What is SOAR?

S – Success Credit Options (exploring unique ways to earn high school credits)

O – Orientation to High School (navigating the shift from middle to high school)

A – Access Support & Connections (discovering new resources)

R – Reach Goals and Rise to 10th Grade (setting a clear path for the future)

One of the most memorable moments came straight from home: when parents registered their teens, they were asked to share words describing their child. Mrs. Filippello wrote those parent descriptions on the inside of each student’s name tag. Such a sweet memory.

It was an incredible day packed with advice, learning, laughs, and pizza—all while taking those first steps toward high school credit!

Thank you to Mrs. Filippello for organizing the event, and to our three student helpers- Logan S., Clara L., and Katelynn K. for helping with various tasks.
