Today, we got to celebrate some of the hardest working folks in the Oregon City School District 62, the incredible Transportation & Facility Services teams! We brought in a spread of food to say a massive THANK YOU for everything they do day in and day out. π
As the school year winds down and excitement hits an all-time high, we know keeping things running smoothly is no easy feat. From ensuring our students get to school safely to keeping our buildings running, these workers are the backbone of our community. We truly appreciate their dedication to our students and families!
β¨ Fun Fact: It is because of the incredible support and funds raised from the Oregon Trail Game Races that we are able to host appreciation events like this and support the Oregon City School District in so many ways.

We are still buzzing from the energy of the Oregon Trail Game Race, and we need to take a moment to celebrate our volunteers!
We had an incredible crew of about 50 volunteers who stepped up, worked hard, and kept dysentery at bay for everyone involved. Without their time, energy, and smiles, this race quite literally would not have happened.
Our incredible crew tackled a checklist of jobs, including:
πΊοΈ Months of race planning and prep
ποΈ Stuffing swag bags & hunting down local coupons
ποΈ Handing out participant packets
π§ Setting up the courses & directing parking
π£ Standing at "Decision Points" along the trail while cheering racers on
π Ensuring safety with street crossing supervision
π₯€ Keeping everyone hydrated at the water stations
π
Handing out medals and helping racers check their final results at the finish line (did you survive the trail?!)
π Running the Kids Corner & cheering on the Kids Fun Run
π§Ή Staying late to clean up and leave the trail better than we found it
To every single person who donated their time: THANK YOU! You brought the magic of the game to life.
As our race continues to grow, we hope our volunteer family grows right along with it. We canβt wait to see you all again next year! π₯ΎβΊ

We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who came out to run, walk, and cheer during the Oregon Trail Game 5K Race. Because of your incredible participation, the Oregon City Schools Foundation will be able to continue providing support, funding, and resources for our local schools. We couldnβt do it without this amazing community! π
π Now for the ultimate question... Did you survive the Oregon Trail?
