Oregon City Community Education Programs and Services
Share
The Oregon City Community Education (OCCE) has been providing valuable services for over 20 years. Our department's saying is "stronger together".
Our core mission is to connect individuals and families with the resources and support they need, which we achieve through a wide array of programs. Oregon City School District's Community Education Department serves Oregon City through a variety of services and programming. This includes childcare for school-age children, early childhood education for children ages 3-5 years, community education
classes including driver education, youth recreational sports, volunteer processing, student interdistrict transfer processing, interpretation and translation services, and more. If you are a community member looking to get involved or are looking for resources please contact us. We believe that in partnership with you, there is so much we can accomplish. https://www.ocsd62occe.org/
Rules of Engagement
At Oregon City School District (OCSD), we believe in fostering a respectful, inclusive, and engaging online community that reflects our commitment to learning, collaboration, and belonging. We welcome open dialogue, diverse perspectives, and constructive conversations that support our mission of educating and empowering all students for success. To maintain a safe and positive environment for all users, we ask that you follow these engagement guidelines when interacting with our social media pages:
Respectful Communication
We encourage thoughtful discussion and the sharing of ideas. However, posts or comments containing the following will be removed:
Language or content that is abusive, obscene, or inappropriate, including profanity, hate speech, or sexually explicit material. Discriminatory remarks based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other protected status. Personal attacks or derogatory comments about students, staff, or community members. Content that violates the privacy of individuals, including personal or confidential information. Constructive Participation
Stay on topic. Comments should relate to the original post to foster meaningful discussion. Avoid repetitive comments. Posting the same message multiple times disrupts engagement and will be removed. Cite sources when sharing information. Misinformation or unverified claims may be removed to maintain accuracy. Monitoring & Response
Our page administrators regularly review comments and messages and will do their best to respond promptly or direct inquiries to the appropriate district leader(s). Messages are checked during normal OCSD operating hours. Responses may be delayed on weekends, holidays, and school breaks. Enforcement & Accountability
Users who repeatedly violate these guidelines may be restricted or banned from the page. OCSD reserves the right to remove any content at any time that does not align with our commitment to a respectful and positive online environment. Legal Disclaimer
OCSD makes every effort to ensure that its social media platforms serve their intended purpose: to inform, engage, and support our school community. However, third-party users may post content that does not reflect the district’s values or policies. When identified, inappropriate content will be removed as promptly as possible, subject to technical limitations of the platform. We appreciate your participation in creating a welcoming and productive online space for our students, families, staff, and community. Thank you for being part of OCSD!

Oregon City School District's Strategic Plan is built on partnership — with students, families, staff, and community. Strong partnerships start with strong communication, and strong communication starts with listening to you.
Take our 10–15 minute survey by April 1.
Your responses will guide how we communicate across the district — from school newsletters to community updates.

Families interested in a Spanish–English dual language immersion experience for their child are invited to learn more about our program ¡Todos Unidos!, offered through the Oregon City School District.
¡Todos Unidos! is a K–12 pathway that begins at Candy Lane Elementary, where students learn to read, write, speak, and listen in both Spanish and English while meeting grade-level academic standards. The program supports strong academics, cultural understanding, and bilingualism from an early age.
📝 Enrollment for kindergarten and first grade is through a lottery.
Families who are interested must enter the lottery to be considered for placement. Our lottery is now open and will run through April 1, so don't wait!
📅 Want to learn more?
Families are encouraged to attend a virtual informational session on February 26 to hear about the program, ask questions, and learn how the lottery works.
Even if you plan to enter the lottery, families should still register for their neighborhood school to ensure a smooth enrollment process.
If you’re curious about dual language learning and want to explore a bilingual, inclusive school community, ¡Todos Unidos! may be a great fit for your family.
📍 Learn more, attend the info session, and enter the lottery on Candy Lane's website. www.candylaneschool.org

Growth doesn’t happen all at once. It happens day by day.
Here in OCSD62, we believe each and every student is worth it. We believe they can do it! Our passion and purpose are rooted in helping students learn, grow, and thrive. And research shows what we see every day: attendance matters.
Even one missed day means missed learning, missed connections, and missed confidence-building moments.
We’re Here for It.
We’re here for their questions.
We’re here for their hard days.
We’re here for their future.
If getting to school is hard right now — reach out. Our school teams are here to provide support for your student!
