Last Friday, we celebrated an amazing group of students whose hard work, passion, and dedication brought them to this milestone. We couldn't be prouder of all they've accomplished and are excited to see where their journeys take them next.

Spring News and Upcoming Summer!

As the Spring Organic Farming Practicum comes to a close, the farm is bursting with fresh produce and activity. Our final class of the term serves as a preview of what students can expect during Summer Practicum. Together, we harvested crops, washed produce, and packed CSA boxes as a hands-on introduction to the upcoming season.

Throughout the spring, students have invested hours seeding, transplanting, weeding, and caring for the soil. This week, they had the opportunity to enjoy the rewards of that work firsthand. Seeing the harvest come together and leave the farm in CSA boxes was a meaningful experience and a reminder of why many of us are passionate about farming.

There is still time to enroll in Summer Organic Farming Practicum (HOR-284). The course meets Mondays and Wednesdays and offers students an immersive farming experience. Participants play an active role in growing food, fulfilling our vegetable and flower CSA programs, and preparing for our weekly Farmers Market. It is a season filled with fresh food, beautiful flowers, hands-on learning, and a strong sense of community. We hope you'll join us this summer!

Come to the Horticulture Department’s annual Spring Plant Sale on Friday May 8, for the best selection of plants, featuring fantastic vegetables (including organic), perennials, herbs, annuals, hanging baskets, and shrubs to enhance your landscape! Bring your boxes!
May 9 and 15 are our ‘Best of the Rest’ sales. See you there!!

The CCC Organic Farming Program had a booth at the Oregon City Farmer’s Market this past weekend. Thank you to all that came to support our program and buy some veggies! Students were really inspired to be there, show off their hard work, and talk about or Organic Farming program. It was a great way to end our 2025 season!

We did it! Last week we hosted our last CSA pick-up and Farmer's Market for the Summer '25 season! A big thanks to the Organic Farming Summer Practicum crew for all their hard work, dedication, and interest this summer. We hope to see you all this fall!
