⚠️ UPDATE: Grasshopper Fire

There have been no changes to evacuation areas within Clackamas County. The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is working in coordination with California Incident Management Team 6 to assess fire conditions daily. Any changes to evacuation levels will be posted here, and notifications will be sent through the ClackCo Public Alerts system: https://www.clackamas.us/dm/publicalerts.

A Level 1 (Be Ready) evacuation alert has been issued by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office in coordination with the California Incident Management Team 6 that is battling the Grasshopper Fire. This alert is for the Mount Hood corridor, from Rhododendron east through Government Camp and surrounding areas of the Mount Hood National Forest. The area extends north to the Hood River County line and east to the Wasco County line.

Our office will be moving to a new location for the next year.
We will be closed to the public from 14-21AUG in order for the county to move our offices.
Effective 24 AUG we will be located at 1021 Courthouse Road, Oregon City. You can find us using Beavercreek Rd or Campus Rd to Courthouse Road.

A rare Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) Red Flag Warning has been issued for parts of northeast Oregon.

🔥 Peak critical conditions are forecasted to occur Saturday, 2–8 p.m.
💨 Strong wind gusts
🌡️ Hot temperatures
💧 Very low humidity

If a fire starts, it can spread rapidly, threatening lives, homes, and communities.

Take action now:
✅ Avoid anything that could spark a fire.
✅ Secure trailer chains so they don't drag.
✅ Have multiple ways to receive emergency alerts.
✅ Be prepared to leave quickly if evacuation orders are issued.

Hello Clackamas county community. Since we are having some days where air quality is impacted due to the wildfires, we wanted to give a resource to use at home.
DIY Box Fan Filters:
✅Supplies for the DIY Box Fan Filters:
**MERV-13 Filters—Must be MERV-13 to filter out fine particulate mater (PM) 2.5. Best fit for the box fan is size 20x20x1 MERV 13 Furnace & HVAC Air Conditioner Filters $15-$20 each (Roughly $8/each if purchasing more than 12 at a time). If possible, buy 2 in order to change out when needed.
**Box Fans--Home Depot, Walmart, Bi-Mart, Fred Meyer, Ace, Tru Value, etc. all carry 20" square box fans. Must be constructed in year 2012 or newer. Approximate cost is$20 each .
**Duct Tape--can be purchased at any of the above retailers as well or via Amazon.
Total cost: ~$30/each
