Congratulations to SUNY Erie CMA graduates Cody Randon, Sam Greco, Bêrîvan Wais and the rest of the Buff State TFA Program on the completion of their amazing television pilot, Maelstrom. It was wonderful to see how far you have all come as filmmakers and storytellers.

Gina O'Donnell, MA
Courses Taught: Intro to Mass Media, Intro to Broadcasting, Writing for Media, Communication Arts Internship
Street Cred: Gina has a Master of Arts in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting and Mass Media. Gina began her broadcasting career as a radio announcer and board operator, before becoming a video editor and news producer for WROC-TV (CBS) and WXXI-TV (FOX) in Rochester. After years of working in morning news, Gina’s career as a professor began at SUNY Genesee, where she served as the college’s Media Services and Distance Learning Specialist. Gina joined SUNY Erie’s Communication and Media Arts faculty in 2002.
Random Fact: One of Gina’s favorite memories of working in television was the process of downlinking and recording the station’s syndicated game shows hours before they were broadcast to a television audience … and memorizing the answers in the process. Gina loved her trick of impressing her family and friends with her amazing abilities to solve Wheel of Fortune puzzles and answer Jeopardy questions before anyone else!
