We take every opportunity to integrate learning into everything we do. Most of our games include counting, letter sounds and color identification. We have sit down "school time" when we present curriculum (alphabet, numbers colors shapes and writing) in a more structured class setting. We also encourage group participation, getting your toddler used to a class structure. Coordination and Athletics
Your children will always have an active day. Tumbling, several forms of dance, toddler versions of our favorite team sports, a bounce house, obstacle courses, and toddler yoga are all in the program. Colors, counting, directions, rhythm, and sound are also integrated into our athletic activities. Visual Art
Visual art is one of our favorite activities. Not only is it fun to get messy and spread colors everywhere, we take the opportunity to learn colors, texture, temperature, shapes and sometimes taste (kids will be kids). Performing Art
The performing arts activities experienced by your child may be as simple as an animal sound for "Old McDonald Had A Farm" or as formal as an occasional performance for our "Parents Night". This would also be a great opportunity to share art and garden produce. Rhythm and Movement
Percussion "jam sessions" will take place almost daily. In addition to the various percussion instruments provided, sound and rhythm is explored with kitchen utensils on anything and everything in the playroom and kitchen. A variety of music is played on a daily basis. The rhythm within a musical style is explored through dance and percussion. The children particularly enjoy waving flowing scarves around in the our six foot mirror. Community and Cooperation
Children love to contribute. Your child will get many opportunities to experience community and cooperation on a daily basis with project and meal preparation as well as clean up. Clean up will also extend to outing "clean ups". One of our goals is to maintain a garden to share with family and friends.
