Week 7 of summer camp was Miners 49'ers! Students did oobleck gold mining, visited the Orangevale History Museum, created vision boards, made gold slime, and went to the Auburn Gold Rush Museum, where they learned about the gold rush and did gold panning.

Week 5 of summer camp was Olympic week! Each student selected a country to represent in various competitions. They also learned a fun fact about their country and drew their flag. Activities included painting shirts, making medals, and running races and other contests. Join us for the final 2 weeks of summer camp!

Week 4 of summer camp was Lego and Engineering week! Activities included life-size Angry Birds, gumdrop structures, and Lego towers. Friday was a water day at White Rock Splash Park followed by a picnic lunch. There are fun things planned for the last 3 weeks of summer camp. Come join us!

In week 2 of summer camp, we survived the Oregon Trail! The kids won coins, which they used to purchase supplies for their journey, such as a wagon, wheels, oxen, food, and tools. We then took a field trip to a local park as our small version of the Oregon Trail. For fun activities, they made graham cracker and marshmallow wagons, art with paper and tissue, and learned how to make whipped cream and butter. Yummy! Week 1 of summer camp was Deserted Island! The day always starts with feeding the chickens and working in the garden. The students learned about how to make a filter for water, eating coconut meat and milk, and building a shelter!
