Week 7 of summer camp was Miners 49'ers! Students did oobleck gold mining, visited the Orangevale History Museum, created vision boards, made gold slime, and went to the Auburn Gold Rush Museum, where they learned about the gold rush and did gold panning.

In week 2 of summer camp, we survived the Oregon Trail! The kids won coins, which they used to purchase supplies for their journey, such as a wagon, wheels, oxen, food, and tools. We then took a field trip to a local park as our small version of the Oregon Trail. For fun activities, they made graham cracker and marshmallow wagons, art with paper and tissue, and learned how to make whipped cream and butter. Yummy! Join us next week as we go forward in time to outer space!

We are now offering weekly sign-ups, allowing you to choose which weeks work best for you with no minimum commitment. Our updated program now includes an Olympics week! Students will compete in both team and individual sports. It's not too late to join the fun!
