Summary: 1) Giving supports scholarships, operating budgets, innovative retention programs, ie The Impact Center 2) HBCU giving is significantly lower than HWIs (historically white institutions) 3) If the students educated by an HBCU won't give, why should anyone else? 4) Alumni giving raises the value of the student's... degree. 5) Volunteering is just as important as financial giving. 6) The state DOES NOT full fund public HBCUs, especially w/ budget cuts. 7) Giving is good, but giving regularly via systematic investing is better.
Giving Back is a Matter of Surviving and Thriving for HBCUs
