Beta Zeta Omega intentionally supports Black-owned businesses in our community each week during the month of June as part of our Black Dollar Days Initiative.

Every dollar spent within our community helps strengthen local businesses and build economic empowerment.

This Friday, June 5, 2026 our focus was “Feed the Movement" as we support Black-owned restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food trucks, and beverage brands.

Our members visited a variety of businesses including: Broughton Street Cafe, Cliff’s Seafood, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Whipped Sweets and Treats, and Philly Special.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling Day will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 578 Ellis Avenue, Orangeburg, SC 29115.

This event is FREE and OPEN to the community. You may bring papers for shredding and electronics for recycling!

This Memorial Day, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® pauses to honor the legacy of our nation's heroes.

We deeply remember the brave men, women, and especially our courageous AKA Sisters who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our freedom.

Today, we reflect on their profound dedication, and commit to upholding the values of unity and service they so proudly fought for.

Wishing you and your loved ones a beautiful and meaningful day of remembrance.

On Earth Day, April 22, 2026, members from Beta Zeta Omega, Beta Sigma, and Gamma Nu Chapters along, with participants from the Youth Leadership Initiative, gathered with residents of the Nix-Stilton Community to plant trees on the grounds of The Nix-Stilton Community Complex.
