She was surprised the beginning of May by OCSD as a National READ 180 Educator Award winner. The 180 Educator Awards honor outstanding teachers whose dedication opens new pathways to success, inspiring students to rise above challenges both in the classroom and beyond.

Even more special, her own student, Royal Gilyard, also received a National READ 180 Student Award! The 180 Awards recognize students achieving remarkable growth, along with the educators who guide and support them every step of the way.
