Band students for Mahar and Orange Elementary are asked to please drop of their students school owned instruments at the RC Mahar office for inspection maintenance and repairs.

Please put your students name on a piece of paper in the case to make inventory tracking easier on our end.

We are asking that all instruments be returned by Friday August 28th, though the earlier the better.

Music always finds a way. The Swift River band kids under the versatile leadership of Michael Vincent have freefalled just like the rest of us in education during this pandemic. But this crew landed on its feet. Not gonna lie, im feeling a bit inspired.

While the R.C. Mahar Band will not march this year for Memorial Day. We will have a bugler perform TAPS at the Tully Cemetery at 2:30 and Memorial Park at the center of Orange at 3pm.

This will be a delicate moment for us, and it will show who we are. We must continue to respect the state mandate against publicly congregating in groups over 10 people. This will not be a moment of remembrance where we fell short in observance, and it must not be a moment we besmirch by causing concern for our local Police Officers.

The park is small, but there is plenty of surrounding parking that is all within earshot for all who wish to participate safely and respectfully in this united moment of remembrance. We may not have the appearance of togetherness we are used to, but we are together nonetheless.
