For the people in the back—It’s like saying you want a healthy meal but then finding out you don’t like the taste of the vegetables.🥴 It’s that hard pill (ego) to swallow—The “too uncomfortable” and not worth the sacrifice despite saving people’s lives. I love helping my patients break free from the chains of Pharma. It’s what I’m called to do, and the years of ridicule and sacrificing a lucrative career have all been worth it. 🧫 Vibrio Vulnificus (Flesh-Eating Bacteria) in Florida Waters 💦

As if two back-to-back hurricanes and red tide aren’t enough fun, now we get to add the “flesh-eating bacteria,” Vibrio, to our growing list of Florida fun! The risk of infection from this bacteria is increasing, especially around the Tampa Bay Area. Vibrio thrives in warm, brackish waters, and the recent hurricanes have created conditions that support its growth by disrupting ecosystems, increasing nutrient runoff, and raising water temperatures.

Infections can occur through open wounds when exposed to contaminated water, and it’s paramount to act quickly if you notice any signs. Watch for symptoms like redness, swelling, and pain around any wounds—these can escalate extremely fast. If you suspect that you might be starting to develop an infection, do not wait! It’s better to be safe than sorry. Prompt medical attention is paramount, as untreated infections can rapidly progress to necrosis (death of tissue) and lead to serious systemic symptoms like fever and chills, which may indicate sepsis. Treatment typically involves antibiotics and, in severe cases, wound debridement or surgery.

Vibrio can also be contracted by consuming raw or undercooked seafood, especially oysters. If ingested, it can lead to gastrointestinal illness, with symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever—particularly concerning for those with liver disease or who are immunocompromised. Treatment usually includes antibiotics and rehydration.

To stay safe, avoid swimming with open cuts—consider skipping swimming altogether for now—and ensure that any seafood you consume is thoroughly cooked. If you experience any symptoms after potential exposure, seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Despite spending more on healthcare than any other country, the United States has one of the absolute worst health outcomes. In my opinion and experience, having been in the system—I attribute this to a lack of critical thinking skills coupled with a lack of ethics and backbone among doctors and nurses.

These “professionals” follow protocols without questioning them and lead their patients down an over-medicated road of no return.

So, instead of sidelining, firing, and gaslighting doctors and nurses like us who demonstrate critical thinking skills, ethics, and backbone—they should be welcoming and encouraging us, making independent thought the “new normal” in our healthcare system. This is the shift we need to improve the pitiful, dangerous, and completely unethical system that desperately needs change.
