Alane Adams, author of "The Coal Thief", spoke to kindergarten and first grade last week. We learned so much about writing. We LOVED her engaging book with FABULOUS illustrations!

Today is the first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday. During the 40 days of Lent we think about our sins and that Jesus died to reconcile us to God. Chapel at 9:30am. Salem's Ash Wednesday service at 7:00pm tonight.

Cowboy “e” is in town and he’s bossing the vowels all around!

We are learning the important concept of the silent “e” at the end of a word which makes the vowel in the word “say its’ name”. Cowboy “e” can also change a “g” to a “j sound” and a “c” to an “s sound”.
