Welcome. I’m Sally Jafari, the founder and CEO of College Career LINC--an education consulting firm focused on successfully taking students from high school to college to career. With a Masters in Counseling Psychology and an Executive MBA, I saw an opportunity to meld both degrees and years of experience in counseling and business to support the next generation.

With a personal background in public and private high schools, community college, large public university, small and mid-size private University, my breadth of knowledge allows me to guide students based on their passions, personalities, and needs. After beginning my Marriage and Family Therapist hours I had the opportunity to counsel many families with high school and college age students. I had a unique ability to connect with these clients and began to realize the amount of pressure and stress they were experiencing. Implementing a variety of behavioral models, I managed to successfully ease both students and parent’s anxiety regarding the college and career decision making process. Taking my experience in counseling and my passion for supporting people to reach their highest potential, I shifted over to higher education and successfully served as Director of the Career Development Center at Chapman University developing programs, guiding and placing students into their dream jobs. I am a Gallup Strengths certified coach and frequently give keynotes on high school preparation, personal and career development, leadership, and guiding students on digital identity development.

Having struggled myself with trying to find my own purpose and calling, I found that taking inventory of my strengths, experiences, and activities enabled me to find a career that allows my creativity to thrive and continues to excite me every day. Being able to work and serve high school and college students, supporting them in discovering themselves and being a part of their journey of self-discovery has become one of the most fulfilling careers that I have created for myself.

As both my daughters begin to transition into the teenage years, there is the struggle between being the mom who wants to tell them what’s good for them, and the person who knows to be mindful of who they are as unique individuals--supporting them in becoming who they are meant to be. Finding myself surrounded by parents struggling trying to do the same for their children, I decided to start College Career LINC and support both parents and students during this vital time.

So many of us live our lives by what society says we ought to do based on money, prestige, or family pressures. I want to dispel those myths and help both parents and students enjoy this growth process, because it truly is the most exciting stage of life.
