Thanks to a generous donation, Santiago Canyon College took possession today of a bronze sculpture of Eleanor Roosevelt. The piece, by noted LA-based artist Juan Rosillo, comes at a perfect moment, as we celebrate Women's History Month. Yes, she was the longest-serving First Lady in American history, but she also deserves her own notable place in the history books for her fearless and tireless advocacy of civil rights for women, African Americans and Asian Americans. We're looking forward to having this work of art installed permanently on campus to inspire future SCC students for generations to come!
