Last week, our 6th graders headed to Rawhide Ranch for Outdoor Ed. They went horseback riding, tried vaulting (yes, gymnastics on horseback!), learned about animal science, and helped care for the ranch animals. Our students stepped out of their comfort zones, cheered each other on, and discovered what it takes to work alongside animals. These are the moments that make learning stick, and the memories we’ll be talking about all year!

Thank you to everyone who came out to McTeacher’s Night! 🍟💙❤️ Our teachers, staff, and students had a blast serving up fries and smiles, and it was so fun to see so many Oakridge families come together to support our school. A big thank you to McDonald’s at 5621 E La Palma Ave in Anaheim for hosting us and being so welcoming. We’re grateful for this community! 🐻

Salt water, sunshine, and a whole lot of learning! 🌊

Our Outdoor Ed trip to CIMI had it all: snorkeling, kayaking, the rope swing, shark lab, squid dissection, plankton lab, and breathtaking hikes. Our students stepped out of their comfort zones, cheered each other on, and discovered just how amazing the ocean world can be. These are the moments that make learning stick, and the memories we’ll be talking about all year! 🦈🦑

Located at 4420 E Chapman Ave in Orange, Better Buzz has been such a wonderful supporter of our Oakridge family. From Helping Hands Dine Outs to donating coffee and pastries for our events, they always show up for our school. We are so thankful for you! Next time you need a pick-me-up, stop in and say hi!

🏐 Our DSL and TriWay volleyball teams had an amazing clinic yesterday with Filip Tomicic! 🐻

Filip worked with our girls on serving, passing, and setting, three skills that are the foundation of a strong game. And he’s no ordinary coach: he’s a Croatian National Team player, European League gold medalist, two-time Croatian National Champion, and a U.S. collegiate National Champion with California Baptist University. Today, he’s the founder and director of ProPlay Volleyball Club, leading more than 400 athletes, and he’s been recognized by the AVCA as one of the top young volleyball coaches in the country.

What a rare opportunity for our girls to learn from someone who has competed, won, and coached at the highest levels of the sport! We can’t wait to see them put what they learned into action at our upcoming practices and games.

Thank you, Coach Filip, for investing in our Oakridge Bears! 💪 🏐
