SCC English Club

The next English Club meeting is TODAY, April 4th at 4:00 p.m.! DON'T MISS OUT! This afternoon we are doing poetry! POETRY! Professor Lennertz has some poetry creating exercises planned for us all and some other fun creative activities. People are welcome to bring their own poetry to share; but you don't have to! Everyone should come to listen, share and enjoy! We're going to do the meeting today - potluck style! If anyone would like to bring snacks, please do! See you all there!

Professor Lynnette Beers-McCormick of SCC (British Literature & other sections), has a friend Peggy Hesketh, who recently published a book, "Telling the Bees." If you are in one of Beers classes, you may have heard about the author's recent book reading. If you did not get the news, and missed it, there will be more readings in the future. Stay posted, and in the meantime take a look at her page - hopefully a few of you might find interest in the book!

The SCC English Club's "Bad Romance" meeting was a lot of fun. Big thanks to those of you who brought something to share, either food/drinks or a short story! Everyone who participated in the writing contest did a wonderful job. The stories were all quite "bad!" Congratulations and a special thank you to the winners of the contest, for creating the most horribly romantic (and humorous) stories of all! Group members crowned winners - Cait and Taylor. Hope to see you all at the next meeting!
