Born July 13, 2007, in Esplugues de Llobregat, Spain, Lamine Yamal joined Barcelona’s academy, La Masia, at just 7 years old.
He flew through Barcelona’s youth levels so quickly that he was training with the first team while still a teenager. In April 2023, he made his Barça debut at just 15 years, 9 months and 16 days old, becoming the club’s youngest-ever first-team player. 🤯
At 16, he was already breaking records left and right — including becoming the youngest player to start a La Liga match and the youngest player to record an assist in the league.
And then came Euro 2024. At just 16, Yamal helped Spain win the European Championship and became one of the youngest stars ever to shine on that stage. 🇪🇸🏆
Now, after the 2026 World Cup, Yamal has already added a World Cup title to his résumé before turning 20. 🌎🏆
From a 7-year-old at La Masia to a World Cup champion. The story is just beginning. ⚽️✨
