Orange Lutheran Boys Basketball Head Coach: Daniel Dunbar We will compete on the basketball court to the best of our ability.

Our purpose is to uphold the mission of Orange Lutheran High School by placing an emphasis on building lasting Christian relationships, finding a true passion for the game of basketball, striving for excellence in academics, and developing each player to maximize their athletic ability. The Orange Lutheran boys’ basketball program will focus on building relationships with each other as teammates,

with the coaching staff and in our relationship with God. We will help each player find a passion for playing basketball and help them to understand how being passionate about something can lead to success in other aspects of their lives. The basketball players, with the support of the school’s teaching staff, will strive to excel in the classroom and become leaders in the academic community. This would include developing our players’ athletic ability and working in a team setting to maximize the potential of all of our athletes. All members of the Lancer basketball family (players, coaches, and parents), as members of a Christian community, will work together to uphold these goals in the classroom, on the court, and in the stands.

It's basketball season!

Today, the boys basketball team opens their season against Arlington in the Rumble for Rosecrans at 4:30. OLu will play in the Diablo Inferno and Classic at Damien Tournaments before the schedule turns to league play in January.

OLu returns starters David Manea and Cannon Potter but will replace nine seniors on last year's squad. Head coach Daniel Dunbar is excited about what this season has in store.

"I'm excited for our group to get in there and compete against arguably one of the best leagues in the country," says Dunbar. "I think we have the makeup and the camaraderie this year to really have an impact and surprise some teams. I think we stack up well with our size and athleticism, and even though we're a little bit younger, I think we could definitely do some damage in the Trinity League."

The winning keeps coming! The girls basketball team is into the 3rd round as they beat Chaparral on Wednesday night 56-34. Ashari Cassell and Ke Beirne each had 8 points and Sheridan Kennedy had 12.

The Lancers will play at Woodbridge on Saturday night at 7 pm in the quarters.

Way to go ladies!
