🎓🚨 SENIORS & PARENTS—IMPORTANT REMINDERS! 🚨🎓

Texas Free College Application Week ends TONIGHT, Sunday, October 18, at 11:59 p.m. CDT!

Texas residents can apply FREE to undergraduate programs at Texas public colleges and universities through ApplyTexas.

All seniors received a copy of their transcript, step-by-step directions for creating their ApplyTexas account and submitting applications, and class time this past week to work on them.

✅ Make sure applications are complete and SUBMITTED before tonight’s deadline. A saved draft does not count!

👉 Apply at www.applytexas.org.

🚨📄 VERY IMPORTANT: REQUEST YOUR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS & TEST SCORES ASAP! 📄🚨

Students MUST complete a transcript request form in the front office so Ms. Fountain can send official transcripts and test scores to EACH college they have applied to. Please take care of this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Submitting a college application does NOT automatically request that our campus send these records. This is a separate step students need to complete!

💰 DON’T FORGET YOUR FAFSA!

A couple of weeks ago, seniors participated in a hands-on workshop with Ms. RaeLynn Revere to begin their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). They also received instructions to share with parents explaining how to complete the parent portion and submit the FAFSA.

The FAFSA helps determine eligibility for grants, work-study, and student loans. Some state and college financial aid has limited funding and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so applying early matters!

If you have not completed your FAFSA, I strongly encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Students and parents should complete their required portions and confirm that the application has been submitted.

👉 Complete your FAFSA at studentaid.gov.

For additional information or guidance, contact Ms. RaeLynn Revere at [email protected].

Parents, please check in with your senior about all THREE steps:

✅ College applications SUBMITTED
✅ Transcript request forms completed in the front office
✅ FAFSA completed and SUBMITTED

Let’s help our Pirates take the next step toward their future! ❤️🏴‍☠️
