This Interterm travel course to England explores the global Harry Potter phenomenon through the lenses of religious studies and gender analysis, examining themes in the wizarding world as a common backdrop for the discussion of religion, race, gender, ethnicity, and social class in communities and community formation. Course fulfills Religious Studies major/minor Religion, Ethics and Society requirement and GE GC (Global Study) and CC (Citizenship, Community, Service)

Scholarship Opportunity!
Fulbright UK Summer Institutes. Spend 3-4 weeks this summer enrolled in an intensive academic and cultural program at one of ten United Kingdom Universities in England, Scotland, or Northern Ireland. Programs topics range from Archaeology, History, Shakespeare, Drama, Business, Conflict Resolution, British Politics, Climate Change, and International Relations. Open to first years and sophomores only (must have at least 2 more years of college to complete). Minimum GPA 3.7. The Summer Institutes will cover the majority of participant costs including round-trip airfare from the US to the UK, tuition and fees at the host university, accommodation and meals.
