Sam Utu ’26 didn’t expect to attend OLu, but God had other plans. Four years later, the dual-sport varsity athlete and singer has been blessed by 28 college offers, a plan to study Business and Worship Arts Ministry at Southern Methodist University, and a clear sense of who he is in Christ and what he’s called to do.

Sam says, “For a long time, I believed being an athlete was my entire identity. But over time, that perspective began to shift as I realized God was calling me to more. I began to realize that I am more than just a football and volleyball player, and I found a deeper sense of purpose beyond performance.”

These Seniors have led this community in worship week and week and today they did it for their last time. We will miss them dearly but we know God has so many new and exciting things for them as they step forward into this new chapter. Thank you for everything you have poured into this place.
