We are dust - but dust, too, is fair, as Chesterton writes. May we travel this Lent with the joy that underlies the season, that of the knowledge of a God whose love brought down the heavens to Earth so that we might reach them.

We spend a lot of time talking about the real, but not always concrete benefits of a Chestertonian education. The transcendentals are abstract, but in Orange County, drive times are very concrete!

Here's a breakdown of "drive time" to all the Catholic Highchools in Orange County from every town and city in the county! Look at where Stella Maris falls.

One of our board members writes: "There is a reason that such a thoughtful and extraordinary man as G. K. Chesterton inspired this network of schools. This attitude toward life produces eudaimonia, a word that doesn't easily translate, but which essentially means a state of well-being, of flourishing, which is what the Chesterton Academies are designed to give their students.
