There are 9 separate libraries that comprise the Leatherby Libraries. Each has a distinctive "portal" entrance with a customized ceiling feature. Each "portal" entrance has a computer providing digital information for the disciplines of that library. These libraries are:

Doy and Dee Henley Library of Social Sciences - 2nd Floor
M. Douglas Library of Music - 3rd Floor
Leon and Olga Argyros Library of Business and Economics - 3rd Floor
Edgar and Libby Pankey Library of Education - 3rd Floor
Onnolee Elliott Library of Science and Technology - 3rd Floor
John and Donna Crean Library of Film and Television - 3rd Floor
Sala and Aron Samueli Holocaust Memorial Library - 4th Floor
Frank Mt. Pleasant Library of Special Collections and Archives - 4th Floor

Each library has the physical collections of the disciplines of that library (books, periodicals, audio visual media, oversize collections.) Each library has 2 group study rooms and one Multi-media preview room.

Want to book a study room but don’t know how? Follow this quick guide to reserve your first room today! 📚✨

Visit the Leatherby Libraries homepage and click “Reserve a Room” under the “Top Resources” bar in the top right corner. From there, you can view available rooms, locations, and equipment for each space. The Leatherby Libraries offer a variety of room types, from simple study rooms to Presentation Studios, depending on your needs. Services are available at both campuses.

Undergraduate students can reserve a room for up to 6 hours, while graduate students can reserve one for up to 8 hours. After your reservation, return your key to the Room Key Drop Box at the Circulation Desk.

Need help finding a book? Forgot your charger? Or maybe you need some Expo markers to write out your study notes? Not to worry, the Circulation Desk is here to help! 📚✨

The Circulation Desk is a one-stop destination for assistance with services provided by the Leatherby Libraries and the Rinker Campus Library. From help finding books, making room reservations, and putting items on hold, to checking out media devices and answering general questions, the Circulation Desk is a great first place to go! (Services are available at both the Orange and Rinker campuses.)

Regular operating hours for the Leatherby Libraries are 7:00 AM - 11:45 PM, Monday through Friday. Regular operating hours for the Rinker Campus Library are 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. (Weekend hours may vary.)

Open House is coming up, and the Leatherby Libraries is open for visitations! 📚✨

On Saturday, September 26, explore some of our special collections and archival spaces, including the Yamagishi Reading Room, Sala and Aron Samueli Holocaust Memorial Library (), Center for American War Letter Archives, and California’s Gold Exhibit & Huell Howser Archives.

Please note that these spaces will have adjusted hours for Open House: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. Guided tours are also available upon request.

🎶 Interested in learning how to find and use music research resources? Join us for the MUS 280 Workshop Series with the Leatherby Libraries!

This workshop series introduces students to the music research landscape and teaches them how to find books, articles, scores, and other materials using library tools and effective search strategies.

The workshops will help satisfy the Music Information Literacy (MUS 280) requirement for students in the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music. However, non-music majors are also welcome to join!
