hiii! This is the last day of my takeover and I would like to highlight one of my favorite events from the School of Communication, the beach cleanup.

What a fun way to spend time with other students while also giving back to the community. We spent the morning walking along the beach, picking up trash, and doing our part to help keep our coastline clean. It was amazing to see how much of a difference a group of students could make in just a few hours. I love that the School of Communication creates opportunities like this that let us connect with each other while making a positive impact beyond campus. It’s experiences like these that have made my time at Chapman so meaningful! 🌊☀️

Thanks so much for turning into my takeover and thank you School of Communication | Chapman University | Higher Education for this chance to share my experience and favorite moments of Chapman. 💗💗

hiiii! For day three of my takeover, I am very excited to share one of my favorite classes offered here at Chapman.

One of my favorite classes at Chapman is Mass Communication, taught by the amazing, loving, and inspiring Professor Jarrod Ventura. I can honestly say it’s one of the most impactful classes I’ve taken, and a huge part of that is Professor Ventura himself.

Not only is he an incredible professor, but he’s also one of the sweetest, kindest people I’ve met at Chapman University. He genuinely cares about his students, creates such a welcoming classroom environment, and always takes the time to encourage us. You can tell he wants everyone to succeed, and that makes such a difference.

His class completely changed the way I think about media and communication. I went from casually consuming media to really thinking about how it influences our perspectives, relationships, and everyday decisions. I still catch myself applying what I learned in class long after the lectures ended.

If you ever get the chance to take one of Professor Jarrod’s classes, do it! He’s made such a positive impact on my Chapman experience, and I’m so grateful I got to learn from him. 💛

hiii! For day two of my takeover, I would like to share a club known as InterVaristy InterVarsity Chapman University that I’ve been involved in since freshman year.

InterVarsity, a Christian club on campus, has honestly been one of the biggest blessings of my time at . From bible studies to worship nights and fun events, it’s given me a community where I can grow in my faith while building genuine friendships with people from all different majors and backgrounds. It’s become a place where I feel encouraged, supported, and challenged to grow both personally and spiritually.

I’m also really grateful that the School of Communication encourages students to get involved outside the classroom. Being part of InterVarsity has helped me put so many of the communication skills I’ve learned into practice, whether that’s building relationships, working with others, or stepping outside my comfort zone. Having the opportunity to be involved in both has made my Chapman experience so much richer, and I’m thankful to be part of such supportive communities both in and out of class!

Also, I have made so many lifelong friendships and a genuine community full of brothers and sisters in Christ. 🫶🏻

I have been swimming for the past 11 years of my life and Chapman University Swim & Dive has made my collegiate career so memorable! As I step into my final year as captain alongside my teammates I’m forever grateful for the culture we’ve cultivated and also the opportunity it’s created for me off the pool deck.

On our team we have various leadership teams that allow athletes to take a lead on customizing team gear, curating our social media, and investing in our team’s future with recruiting. I am currently the social media and photography lead for all of our social content as far as photo, video, and graphic content. In this position I have been able to utilize my knowledge of the sport, but also strategic messaging from in the classroom to promote our panthers.

From creating a brand guide, building out media day, and leading campaigns like Giving Day, have happened with the support from my work in the classroom at SoC. Courses like SCC 400 Message Design II with Travis Bartosh and SCC329 Personal Branding with Matt Prince were a big foundation to my work. Having the background to build out a personal brand and messaging plan have easily translated into my projects with Chapman University Swim & Dive.

This team has brought me not only professional growth but also a family and I’m forever thankful for my panthers in the water ! ❤️ 🐾

The first half of summer I was very lucky to have the opportunity to work the FIFA World Cup as a 360 Ingest Intern as a part of the Digital team for Host Broadcast Services.

The experience I gained, relationships I made, and stories I got to help tell made the LA traffic all worth it! From pre-game to post-game, I learned so much about live sports production while connecting with fans from around the world while supporting an Insta 360 camera. Collaborating with a professional digital team gave me a firsthand look at the importance of organizational communication, while every interaction with fans reinforced the value of interpersonal communication in creating authentic, engaging content.

This experience strengthened my passion for sports media, digital storytelling, and creating content on some of the biggest stages in sports. I’m grateful for the opportunity, the lessons learned, and everyone who made it possible. ⚽️📸✨

Hi hi! For my last takeover day I wanted to share some of my favorites projects that I have done with the help from other dance majors and students at Dodge.

Since freshman year I have made concept videos and dance films: producing, directing and dancing. For my senior year, I will be the President of the Dance and Film Club and I can proudly say that this club has pushed me to be a braver version of myself. It has challenged my creativity and encouraged me to put my ideas in action and present them to the world. I discovered a new side of my passion for dance and hope to continue this as a career, choreographing one day for films and music videos. During my internship I got to make different connections and share ideas with people involved in both the dance and film industry. I hope to develop my skills further and to build more opportunities for myself in the future through these connections.

Thank you School of Communication | Chapman University | Higher Education for this opportunity and to you all for getting to know a little bit of my experience at Chapman and Joffrey Internship. Enjoy our last weeks of summer! 💌
