This week in the library we are working on “Fright Club,” a short story writing contest. If your student wins they could be published in a book of collected short stories and win an Amazon gift card!

Brielle Vandagriff, 8th grader, Ready Writer, NJHS member, library aide, Showcat, Book club officer, panthers in prayer member, band member, Band Council member, and student council member has finished her 25 book challenge!!!! Congrats Brielle!!!
And thank you to Sonic for the Sonic drinks for the kids (as well as being so kind about our library aide drinks!), and Dairy Queen for the ice cream tokens for the kids!!! You guys are such wonderful parts of our community!

I really, really wish we could do to this!!! We are going to support our Panthers as they fight on the football field that evening though!!! If you have a Poe fan, or a student that’s interested in the Victorian era and/or the Stark House, this would be such a perfect opportunity!

Book Club is the BEST! Love our kids and our parents 🥰🥰🥰 Thanks for being a part of the club!

MMS Book Club will be hosting our first school dance of the year on October 23rd! It will be fantasy ball/Halloween themed! Tickets will be 5 dollars (sold both at the door and the week leading up to the dance) and there will be concessions! Students are encouraged to wear appropriate costumes and dress up, but no full face masks or weapons will be allowed. You do not HAVE to dress up to attend. ***IMPORTANT: In order to be eligible to attend the dance, you must not have any write ups/ISS/OSS/Lunch detention from Septepmber 28- October 23rd.
