For families of children and adults with disabilities, finding the right resources, support, and community can be life-changing. At Henderson Haven, it’s about more than what happens during a program—it’s about helping each individual communicate, grow, build confidence, and create a fuller life.

At Henderson Haven, we don’t believe a label should determine whether a child deserves support. 💚

As our co-founder Sherri shares, “If they need us, they need us. We’re here.”

Every child is different, and every family’s journey is different. Our focus has always been on meeting children where they are, understanding what they need, and working alongside their families to help them grow.

Because before a diagnosis, a label, or a piece of paperwork, there’s a child who deserves the opportunity to be supported. 🦋

Sometimes the biggest barrier isn’t ability—it’s the expectations we place on someone. 💚

In this clip, our co-founder Lee shares an important part of Henderson Haven’s philosophy: we don’t start by deciding what someone can’t do.

We challenge the individuals we serve, support them along the way, and give them opportunities to keep growing, learning, and becoming more independent.

As Lee puts it, “Our expectations are that they’re going to be successful.”

Because when we remove preconceived limitations, we may be surprised by just how far someone can go. 🦋
