Congratulations to the Orange Grove High School Marching Band for doing an outstanding job at last Saturday’s USBands Marching Contest in San Antonio. 🖤🧡🎶

The competition featured a preliminary-and-finals format and included bands ranging from UIL Class 3A to 6A.

🏆🥇PRELIMINARY COMPETITION – 1ST PLACE
Orange Grove delivered an outstanding preliminary performance, finishing 1st Place in its group and receiving a 1st-place ranking from all seven judges.
The band also earned caption awards in its group:
• Best Music
• Best Visual
• Best Overall Effect
• Best Color Guard

FINALS – 5TH PLACE OVERALL 🙌🏼🧡🖤
Following its first-place preliminary performance, Orange Grove advanced to the evening finals, where all qualifying bands competed head-to-head regardless of group size or UIL classification.

Orange Grove finished an impressive 5th Place Overall and was the only UIL Class 3A band in the competition.

9th – John Marshall High School – Group 3 – UIL 6A
10th – Wimberley High School – Group 2 – UIL 4A
11th – Southside High School – Group 2 – UIL 5A
12th – Crockett High School – Group 2 – UIL 5A
13th – Memorial High School – Group 1 – UIL 4A

This was an exceptional accomplishment for our students. 😎To finish 5th overall in a finals field dominated by 4A, 5A, and 6A programs speaks volumes about the talent, preparation, work ethic, and commitment of the students in the Orange Grove Band.

We are extremely proud of how our students represented Orange Grove High School, Orange Grove ISD, and our community. Their success would not be possible without the tremendous support of our administration, School Board, Band Boosters, parents, staff, and community.

Our students continue to demonstrate that the size of the school does not determine the level at which a program can perform. They represented Orange Grove with class and showed once again that they are willing to Be the Standard.

Director of Bands, Mr. Craig Ewing and his staff want to thank everyone for their continued support of the Orange Grove Band program.

The band's next performance is this coming Saturday at Calallen HS. The band performs at 4:15 PM. Come out to cheer on our students! 🙌🏼🖤🧡🎶🏆
