The Orange Grove Area Museum and it’s contents were destroyed by fire today.
This heartbreaking event happened on a breezy Easter morning and as of now appears to be a total loss. Fire fighters are still on the scene. Currently we are unaware of the cause of the fire.
The museum was established in the late 1990’s by a small group of citizens from the Orange Grove Area who were concerned about our history being lost. It was the dream of Betty Box, our late curator, that the museum be educational and be the type of museum where items could be seen and touched.
So many people have worked tirelessly to make the museum a place to hold our history, to keep it open and keep it going. Citizens have given/loaned items and artifacts over the years only to be lost in a devastating fire.
God bless the Orange Grove Volunteer Fire Department, the City of Orange Grove, the Orange Grove Community, and the benefactors of the Orange Grove Area Museum.

It's Sad to say Goodbye to a great Coach we had at OG!! Prayers to the family and friends! :(

Osbaldo Gonzalez was only 62-years -old.

As some of you may know on Tuesday night Felix Cornejo’s parents house in Sandia caught on fire and is a total loss. Felix is one of our basketball refs who has helped us out through out the seasons. OGYBL would like to ask the community to come together and donate some of the following items:

Bedding, food, cooking utensils, pots, pans, hygiene items, clothes( women’s size 14 men’s size medium or 32x29)
under clothing etc etc

Anything will help!!

We will be accepting donations Sunday 12/9/18 @ The Grove parking lot 3:00-5:00pm
