☕️👗I had one of those infamous BACK TO SCHOOL dreams we all get starting July. I had been walking around my class putting FIRST DAY PAPERS on their desks and double checking the music selection to prepare for their arrival when I SPILLED COFFEE on my dress!⁣
⁣
☕️ 👗 during the dream it was a NIGHTMARE , I ran to the office and got some towels, cleaned myself off. As I came running back to my class kids were in line and I was HUGGING and LAUGHING with them. For some reason I remember knelling and talking face-to-face with a little⁣
⁣
☕️ 👗 the dream ended up a fun one but when I woke I realized I’m not going to PHYSICALLY be close to students for a long time. Although we may go in-person maybe at some point they will be 6 ft and we will still be communicating via computer⁣

☕️ 👗 definitely strange times...... I’m ready for HUGS

✏️ I just ordered some extra large lost-it BUTCHER PAPER and EASEL.... gotta love ( I feel like Jeff Besos may personally write me a thank you card for my summer purchases). Not sure yet if I’ll be working from home or inside my empty classroom but I wanted to be prepared for the FIRST DAY of VIRTUAL ⁣

✏️ last year in class we GOT TO do a lot virtually but then HAD TO do spring virtually. To change it up a bit I’m going a bit more OLD SCHOOL and bringing back and oldie but goodie... the PENCIL ✏️ ⁣

🏡 I had putting Making one of these off but my college bestie had sent a text last week ohhing and ahhhing how fun they are and since she’s SUPER COOL.... I had to follow suit⁣

🏡 I love the way it turned out bc I looked at a PICTURE I took on March 16 when I locked up my room. Since I’m looping with my students I wanted it to look exactly like the last day we were together physically on MARCH 13 ⁣

♥️ yesterday was one of those days where you are so used to the BACK TO SCHOOL grind that it hit me...... I’m not going to see MY SCHOOL FRIENDS!⁣
⁣
💜 I had a fun ON-LINE TRAINING and even though I didn’t see my friends on the screen I had fun knowing they were there and texting /calling after to BRAINSTORM ( aka GIGGLE)⁣
⁣
💛and while I was on the training I got the sweetest text from our LIBRARIAN. She has always been one of my favorites to gab to. I miss staying after our library hour to chit chat about our families.She knows that I’ve been social distancing and was ready to go way OVER AND BEYOND just to help me better prepare ⁣
⁣
💚finally before bed I checked my email and my fab PRINCIPAL had sent out an email with one line that just hit me. I won’t bore you specifics but she definitely has been so amazing and RESPECTFUL during this time ⁣
⁣
💔my heart hurts knowing I won’t be with them for awhile. Although I am over the moon we are all SAFE and people are preparing to create a CLEAN school environment, I know I won’t be able to have those FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL jitters physically with them for the first time in 20 years..... very strange feeling ⁣
⁣
PS- I know it’s not the same caliber / importance as the kids and their peers .... but still a bit sad

🦩 I had a TEACHER need help on how to PRINT. I have to say in all this DISTANCE LEARNING I have definitely felt so much more comfortable making “ how to” videos. ⁣
⁣
🦩 since we can’t run next door to have a TEACHER FRIEND help, “how to” videos will have to be the next best thing. ⁣
⁣
