See the world.

Let the world see you.

Share yourself. Who you are. Your culture. And how life has cultivated you.

The way you listen when you don’t know the language is different.

How you communicate, and the words you choose, when you want to be understood requires so much intentionality.

As it should.

Go.

You will understand how much you do not yet know.

Learn.

And also unlearn.

Open your eyes.
And stay awake.

What you see will change you.

As it should.

God is so much bigger out there.

Your faith will be too.

As much as you’re able, suspend your judgements and expectations.

By no means be naive but leave room for the unexpected and inexplicable.

Try the foods uncommon to you. Expand your ability to taste. Add to your palate.

Please go see the world.

Your capacity for gratitude will increase.

You know this to be true too, right?

What is certain in this life is that there will be things that happen that you did not plan for … good or bad.

That doesn’t mean don’t plan, but do have a spirit ready for, and okay with, the pivot.

Aparigraha.

You have to practice it if this doesn’t come naturally. You will be better for it if you do.

China was not on my 2026 Bingo Card, but alas! And I thoroughly enjoyed it over, above and in spite of any cultural norms that had me 😳👀😵‍💫.

I saw China.

I walked along the Great Wall.
Slowly but surely … assisted only by the walls themselves.

I was awestruck.
Struck by my awe, and thinking “Like, how?! How on Earth did ancients construct such an Amazing structure? Just, how?”

And too, I was reminded of just how BIG God is… and how connected WE all are.

Zoom out, y’all. Zoom out.

And to sweeten this cup even more, I did it with a daughter that does nothing but cheerlead me … even in the most challenging times.

We conquered Watch Tower 14 to 6 and had a time riding the toboggan back down (with just a small regret for not purchasing those knock-off Adidas Chinese New Year jackets from the lady haggling her exceptionally low price).

Side Note: The amount of ladies being straight up “boss” with ease and in all capacities was prominent and noticed. Inspiring, y’all. Simply inspiring.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, please GO SEE THE WORLD … and let it see you!

You will evolve in, and by, the exchange.

A whole lot of Pomp & Circumstance for our Littlest Loves yesterday! 🎓🎓

Day in day out … step by step … cheering them towards this milestone moment of walking across a stage holding something their hard work earned in their hands, is the highest honor!

We love you so much Yas & Lil and are your loudest cheerleaders! We cannot wait to see what’s next for each of you and will be by your side as you keep making your way ☺️
