The Straughn High School "Sound of Gold" is proud to announce the Covington County Night of Bands Exhibition on Tuesday, September 8th at 5:30pm.

This will be an arts showcase of all marching bands within Covington County. We are proud to host these students and their shows as they prepare for their competition season and cheer on their teams!

Admission is free, concessions will be offered. We're looking forward to a great night of community, fellowship, and music! Come support your local bands!

A huge shout out to our new SRO, Mr. Glen, for fixing the boys bathroom sink, which was long overdue and to Ms. Lynn who had a very busy day as well. (Our school grounds look so nice today too!). You do not want pictures of today’s shout outs but trust me both went above and beyond. I even caught Mr. Glen wiping down a toilet with a Clorox wipe. It takes a village.
