CHAMPIONS READY TO SERVE! 🏆💕💚

Lambda Beta Omega had an unforgettable Chapter Retreat last weekend! We stepped into the ring to refresh our knowledge, strengthen our sisterhood, and set our sights on new goals for service and continued chapter growth.

A special thank you to our guest speaker, Shelton “Sweet” LeBlanc, owner of Backstreet Boxing Club & Gym and former professional boxer, for inspiring us to keep fighting for excellence, discipline, purpose, and impact.

And yes… our champion robes were the perfect reminder that we are dressed for the fight, trained for the mission, and READY TO SERVE! 🥊✨

✨ GEN NEXT SISTERHOOD SPOTLIGHT ✨

Michelle Savoy is a dedicated registered nurse with the St. Landry Parish School Board, where she has devoted her career to serving the children, families, and communities of St. Landry Parish.

More than a decade ago, Michelle was initiated into the illustrious sorority of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® through the Lambda Beta Omega Chapter in Opelousas, Louisiana. Since then, she has remained an active and committed member, dedicated to serving her chapter and the surrounding community. Throughout her years of service, she has held the position of Secretary and has served on numerous chapter committees. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Mental Health Committee, where she is passionate about promoting mental health awareness, educating the community, and helping to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Michelle is a devoted wife to her husband, Anthony, and a proud mother of three: Jamaican, Essence (her AKA legacy), and Zendaya. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, watching movies, dining out, and participating in community service initiatives alongside her sorority sisters. Her commitment to service, leadership, and community engagement reflects her lifelong passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others. 💗💚

Chastity Boyance was initiated into the Zeta Pi Chapter at McNeese State University in Spring 2016. During her undergraduate years, she served as Chapter President for three years, leading with dedication and a commitment to excellence.

She currently serves as our Ivy Leaf Reporter and Technology Chair, where she combines creativity and technology to enhance our chapter’s communications and engagement.

Chastity earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from McNeese State University and her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Holy Cross. She currently works in healthcare and aspires to become a physician, driven by a passion for service and improving the lives of others.

Her leadership, dedication, and commitment to sisterhood continue to make a lasting impact on our chapter and community. 💕💚

Throughout the year, we intentionally supported Black-owned businesses, strengthened our local economy, and demonstrated the power of collective impact. Our chapter members showed up, shopped with purpose, and helped make this initiative a success. Together, every dollar made a difference. 💰
