Over the last several years, I am sure that I have met you or possibly visited your college to talk about our student programs or to simply discuss opportunities at MBUSI in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. Presently, I am no longer over our student training programs, but I am now responsible for all technical recruiting. I wanted to reach out and tell you about a great opportunity for someone with experience in automotive repair. We currently have many openings for repair technicians to work in our manufacturing facility. This role pays well, starting at just over $25 /hour and within 2 years, topping out at just over $31 / hour. At MBUSI, our technicians are paid an hourly rate, not based on a specific repair job. That’s an straight up hourly pay, regardless of the repair job. I know that this is unlike most all dealerships that pay a flat rate based on the specific repair.



Our facility is responsible for the production of several luxury Mercedes-Benz SUVs; the GLE, GLE Coupe, GLS, Maybach GLS and now, the all-electric EQS and EQE SUVs.



Aside from the pay, we offer a solid benefits package which includes an excellent health coverage, dental and vision. Other benefits such as: Lease car program, matching 401(k), Carehere sites which enable our TMs to see a physician, free of charge and an athletic facility located on-site. GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for the full range of automotive maintenance and repair needed for company vehicles and equipment. The range of equipment includes both gas and diesel engines, automotive, farm and heavy equipment types.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Repair and maintain gas and diesel engines and systems in vehicles, light duty trucks and heavy equipment.
Diagnose, repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, brake, electrical and fuel systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment such as oil changes, brake replacement, lubrication, fluids, belts, wipers, etc.
Rotate, replace and repair tires.
Drain and clean radiators, replace batteries.
Operating vehicle repair garage machinery.
Adjust and repair hydraulic systems and air brake systems.
Investigate complaints and equipment malfunctions.
Perform painting, drilling, heating, bolting, welding, brazing, sand blasting, soldering or cutting operations.
Maintain vehicle records for all maintenance performed.
Any other common duties associated with a vehicle maintenance garage.
Assist with and/or perform additional duties as required by operating needs of the company as directed by management.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of experience with gas and diesel engines or equivalent combination of education and experience. ASE Certification or graduation from automotive technical school program preferred.
