Math isn't just about numbers—it's about building mental models! 🧩👇
Research shows that when teachers get to actually "play" with and experience manipulatives during PD, they are much more likely to bring those tools into their classrooms.
We had an absolute blast working with Elmore County middle school math teachers as they got hands-on and comfortable with Cuisenaire rods, Algebra Tiles, pattern blocks, Base 10 blocks, Anglegs, and Desmos!
Shoutout to Mandi Boyd from hand2mind for generously supplying all the amazing manipulatives that made this deep dive possible! You’re the best!!!🌟
