💙 What We Love About The Oaks 💙

Over the next few weeks, we want to share some of the things that make The Oaks School such a special place.

Part 1: We love our partnership with families!

We are grateful for parents, grandparents, and families who support our school, volunteer, and walk alongside us in their child’s education. Together, we create a strong foundation for each student!

Hear from senior Lucas Wells’s mom, Jodi, as she reflects on his journey and shares how The Oaks School helped him find success, build confidence, and thrive during his high school years.

“When Lucas was in primary and elementary school I cried almost every single morning after dropping him off at school. My routine was to drop him off and then pull over and call my mom and cry my eyes out to her about my worry and fear for his precious heart as he entered school. He was so sensitive and kids aren’t always kind, especially when they see differences in other kids. While he was blessed with some amazing teachers, those years were a time of tremendous sadness and worry. When he transferred to The Oaks in the 6th grade everything changed for him. A smaller class meant building relationships and a focus on God during every school day from chapel to the curriculum cultivated an atmosphere of acceptance and patience within all of the students. I am forever grateful for the administration, teachers, and students there that embraced him from day one and have wrapped him in so much love and support that he was sad to graduate. I couldn’t see this day back when, but God did and He had a plan. I know he has even greater plans for Lucas’ future.”

🌟 Introducing Our New Third Grade Teacher, Eliza Ogle 🌟

Eliza was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, and graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. While at Auburn, she was an active member of the AU Singers and faithfully served at Lakeview Baptist Church, where she met her husband, Jacob.

After graduating, Eliza and Jacob were married in 2024 and chose to make Auburn their home, where they both work and enjoy life with their sweet fur baby, Cash. She continues to attend and serve at Lakeview Baptist Church as the children’s choir director, where she loves combining music, movement, and Bible truths to help children grow in their faith.

In her free time, Eliza enjoys listening to music, creating choreography, and spending time with Cash. She is excited to begin her third year of teaching and looks forward to investing in her third-grade students academically, spiritually, and personally while sharing the love of Jesus each day.

Welcome to The Oaks School Eliza!
