β˜€οΈ Free summer meals begin today, Tuesday, June 2!

Opelika City Schools will provide free meals for children and teens 18 years old and younger this summer at Opelika High School. Meals will be served Monday through Thursday from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. from June 2 through July 16.

Please note that the program will be closed June 29–July 2.

We encourage families to take advantage of this free resource throughout the summer. 🍎

Today marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next. Opelika City Schools celebrates each graduate and wishes you success in all that lies ahead.

Reminder: Thursday, May 21, 2026, is the last day of school and will be a half day for Opelika City Schools students.

Schools will dismiss at the following times:
Pre-K β€” 10:30 a.m.
Primary Schools β€” 10:40 a.m.
Intermediate Schools β€” 10:50 a.m.
Opelika Learning Center β€” 11:10 a.m.
Fox Run School β€” 11:20 a.m.
Opelika Middle School β€” 11:30 a.m.
Opelika High School β€” 11:40 a.m.

Lunch will be served. Buses will run all routes. Thank you for helping us finish the school year strong!

Graduation is Friday! πŸŽ“

Opelika High School will celebrate the Class of 2026 on Friday, May 22, at 7:00 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.

To help ensure a safe and smooth ceremony, all guests will pass through metal detectors and must follow the OCS Graduation Clear Bag Policy. Guests may bring clear bags, small clutches, and sealed water bottles. Outside food and drinks, oversized bags, non-clear bags larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, and weapons are not permitted.

The ceremony will be livestreamed for family and friends who are unable to attend. The livestream link will be posted on Facebook on Friday morning, go live at 6:45 p.m., and remain live through the conclusion of the ceremony.

In the event of rain only, graduation will continue at Bulldog Stadium. If severe weather impacts the ceremony, updates will be shared through ParentSquare, social media, Senior Google Classroom, and announcements at OHS.
