Southview is so proud of each and every one of you and all that you’ve accomplished. Your hard work, dedication, kindness, and growth have brought you to this exciting milestone, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things your future holds. Keep chasing your dreams, believing in yourselves, and making us proud!

We also want to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to our wonderful second grade students! We are so proud of all you’ve achieved this year and are excited to watch you continue to learn, grow, and reach your goals. You will always have a special place at Southview, and we will miss you so much next year!

Run, jump, play… it was our Field Day!

With summer almost here, today was filled with fun, laughter, and memories made with friends. We need to send a huge thank you to Coach Brooks for all his hard work and for making this a day we will always remember!

Teacher Appreciation Week was SUN-sational! ☀️

Our PTO and families truly went above and beyond to celebrate our amazing teachers:

🌴 Monday – “We shell-ebrate you” with dirty sodas and a massage
🍿 Tuesday – Snack Shack room service
🌮 Wednesday – “Taco ’Bout Nacho Average Teacher” + duty-free lunch
🧋 Thursday – “You’re Tea-riffic” with loaded teas
🌊 Friday – “You’re a Wave Maker” with popcorn & trail mix

Every thoughtful detail made our staff feel seen, valued, and appreciated all week long. Thank you for the generosity, creativity, and support you show our teachers—not just this week, but all year!

Southview’s mathematicians delivered an outstanding performance in Around the World!

In each second-grade classroom, the top two mathematicians showcased exceptional skill and determination, contributing to an impressive overall showing.

Congratulations to Justin Smith for rising above the competition and earning first place.

Our Accelerated Reader Field Trip was a big success!

The top three readers from each First and Second Grade class earned an end-of-the-year trip to Floral Park and OTown Ice Cream for all of their hard work and dedication to reading this year. Students enjoyed playing at the park, cooling off at the splash pad, and sharing pizza for lunch.

We wrapped up the day with a sweet treat from OTown Ice Cream! We are so proud of these students and their accomplishments this year!

Our second grade students had a wonderful time touring Northside! They are excited and looking forward to attending their new school.

Happy Nurses Week to our wonderful nurse, Ms. Harris! Thank you for always being ready to help everyone when needed — whether it was an ice pack, a Band-Aid, or simply your caring support. Your kindness, dedication, and compassion have made a difference every day, and we truly appreciate all that you have done for our school family.

As you begin this new chapter, we are happy to wish you a very happy retirement. You will truly be missed, but we hope you enjoy a relaxing and well-deserved retirement filled with happiness and rest.

Ms. Harris, thank you again for everything. You will always hold a special place in our hearts!
