Open House is almost here, and we can’t wait to welcome our families!

Please join us on Thursday, August 20:

Kindergarten: 5:30–6:00 p.m.
1st Grade: 6:00–6:30 p.m.
2nd Grade: 6:30–7:00 p.m.

We’ll start each grade level together in the cafeteria at their scheduled time before proceeding to the classrooms. We’re excited for you to meet our teachers, visit your child’s classroom, and see some of the wonderful things happening at our school.

We look forward to seeing you and sharing a great evening together!

2026-2027 School Traffic Pattern

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to inform you of a new traffic pattern at Southview Primary. Our goal is to load and unload students as safely and efficiently as possible while ensuring a smooth experience for everyone.
Please take a few moments to review the attached traffic map and follow the outlined procedures. Your patience and cooperation will help us provide a safe, organized arrival and dismissal process for all students, families, and staff.

We are incredibly thankful for the Opelika High School Football Team and their willingness to serve our school! 🖤❤️🐾

From pulling weeds and spreading pine straw to lending a hand wherever it was needed, these young men demonstrated what it truly means to give back to their community. Their hard work, positive attitudes, and servant hearts made a tremendous difference both inside and outside our school.

We are so grateful for students who are willing to step up, work hard, and invest in others without hesitation. Thank you, Opelika Football, for your time, effort, and dedication to making our campus even better. More importantly, thank you for being such outstanding role models for our students and community. A new school year is almost here, and we are so excited to meet our newest students and welcome back our returning Bulldogs!
📚 Meet the Teacher will be held on Tuesday, August 4. Teachers will contact families the week of July 30 to schedule a time for you and your child to visit the classroom and meet their teacher.
A few reminders:
⭐ All new and returning students must complete registration for the 2026-2027 school year and upload two current proofs of residency before classroom assignments can be released.
⭐ If possible, please bring your child's school supplies to Meet the Teacher.
⭐ School supply lists are available on the Opelika City Schools website.

A huge thank you to our Opelika Volleyball girls for volunteering their time to serve at our school! They helped put up bulletin boards and tackled many other projects to help our teachers get ready for the 2026–2027 school year.

Southview is so proud of each and every one of you and all that you’ve accomplished. Your hard work, dedication, kindness, and growth have brought you to this exciting milestone, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things your future holds. Keep chasing your dreams, believing in yourselves, and making us proud!

We also want to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to our wonderful second grade students! We are so proud of all you’ve achieved this year and are excited to watch you continue to learn, grow, and reach your goals. You will always have a special place at Southview, and we will miss you so much next year!
