Two members of the SUSCC nursing faculty and 6 SUSCC students that are concurrent Auburn RN-BSN went to Quito, Ecuador over spring break on a Medical Mission Trip to serve the people of Ecuador. A medical clinic was operated for 4 days treating 487 pediatric and adult patients for general medical problems and women's health, giving medications and glasses if needed. In addition, VBS was held for children, CPR classes were taught, and education was given to the patients.
Happy Spring Break!

Each year the Southern Union Nurses Association hosts a toy drive to benefit the Big House Foundation which supports foster families in our community. This year over 200 child and teen items were collected. Pictured here are some SU SNA members with the collection. A huge “thank you” to all those who supported our efforts. We wish you a wonderful holiday season!

The Southern Union Student Nurses Association just wrapped up their spring swim & towel drive to benefit The Big House Foundation. This wonderful organization provides assistance to local foster children and families. Nearly 70 towels and swimsuits were collected this year! These donations will help ensure that each foster child has a brand new swimsuit and towel to call their own this summer. Thank you to all who assisted in this effort. We are proud to serve our community and to call ourselves SU Bison!
